Résumé: The Maghreb countries trade little with each other. In fact, the rate of trade is one of the lowest in the world, but the Maghreb economic growth is increasingly liked with regional land transport networks development. When transport systems in the Maghreb countries are efficient, they provide economic and social opportunities and benefits that result in positive multipliers effects. there has been very little analysis of the effects of specific highway projects. The accuracy of methods for projecting economic effects of proposed new highway investments remains uncertain. However, measuring of future economic impact of a new Algerian 'East-West' highway (The most important part of the Maghreb highway) should using empirical information on actual impacts of a past projects (Turkish highway as model). That theoretically increases the volume of trade between the Maghreb countries. This research has been made to predict rate of increase in intra-Maghreb trade for the use of the Algerian 'East-West' highway.
