محمد بن أبي شنب وجهوده في التأثيل

Résumé: ملخص البحث: يهدف هذا البحث إلى التعريف بالعلامة الجزائري "محمد بن أبي شنب" وتسليط الضوء على أعماله، خاصة منها بحوثه ودراساته المعجمية والتأثيلية. فـ"ابن أبي شنب" قام بتأثيل عدد من الألفاظ في بحوث مستقلة نشرها في دوريات متخصصة، وقام بتأليف معجمين تأثيليين، ولكن هذه الأعمال لم تجد إلى الآن من يلقي عليها الضوء ويتدارسها في ضوء منهج اللسانيات التاريخية. ومن أهم النتائج التي خرج بها هذا البحث، أن "ابن أبي شنب" يمثل بحق مرحلة تلقي المنهج اللساني التاريخي في العالم العربي في بداية القرن العشرين، وأهم ما اضطلع به هو العمل التأثيلي، وهو أصعب ميادين اللسانيات التاريخية، ولم يسلك هذا السبيل إلا لأنه قد توفرت له الإمكانيات الضرورية في ذلك؛ كالمعرفة باللغات القديمة؛ اللاتينية، التركية، الإيطالية، الإسبانية، والفرنسية، فضلا عن العربية، كما أنه ممن استلهموا المنهج اللساني التاريخي على أصوله من المستشرقين، الذين كان يعيش بينهم، فقد حضر مؤتمراتهم، وساهم معهم في إنجاز بحوثهم. كلمات مفتاحيّة: ابن شنب، التأثيل، الصناعة المعجمية، اللسانيات التاريخية، الاستشراق. Abstract: This research aims to introduce the Algerian scientist "Muhammad ibn Abi Shanab" and shed light on his works, especially his research and lexical and etymological studies. Ibn Abi Shanab has etymologized a number of words in independent research published in specialized periodicals, and has written two etymological dictionaries. But, these works have not yet found anyone to shed light on them and study them in light of the historical linguistics approach. Among the most important results of this research, is that "Ibn Abi Shanab" truly represents the stage of receiving the historical linguistics approach in the Arab world at the beginning of the twentieth century. The most important thing to do is etymological work, It is the most difficult field of historical linguistics, and he did not follow this path except because he had the necessary capabilities; such as knowledge of ancient languages; Latin, Turkish, Italian, Spanish, and French, as well as Arabic, and he was also inspired by the historical linguistic approach to its origins from orientalists, Those who lived among them, he attended their conferences, and contributed with them in carrying out their research.
