Résumé: This paper aims at discussing the aspects of the Chinese presence in Africa, and the probability of a clash between china and The United States of America, deriving from the rivalry caused by the conflict of interests. The article comes to a conclusion that, despite the intensity of this rivalry, the American role is in decline, because of its economic dilemma. While the Chinese opportunities in the continent will grow enormously, and this fact could ease this intense struggle in the foreseeable future.
