Slotted Triangular Monopole Antenna For Rfid Applications
Résumé: Thepurpose of the project is to present a slotted triangular monopole antenna for radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. The work has been inspired from a recently published paper where anUHF RFID antenna has been introduced. The proposedantennais a dual band structure that can operate inthe frequency ranges [0.797- 1.004 GHz]and [2.234 - 2.934 GHz]. Accordingly the antenna covers widely the two UHF bands dedicated for RFID applicationswhich are [0.860 -0.960 GHz] and [2.380 –2.520 GHz] unlike the original single band structure which fits only the first band. Moreover, the new antenna shows a significant size reduction of about 52 % as compared to the previous one. Furthermore, the wide band nature of the developed antenna makes it suitable for several applications other than RFID (GSM, UMTS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.) Finally, the proposed antenna has been fabricated and its reflection coefficient measured where a good agreement is observed with the simulated results.
