Difficulties Of Translating Technical Terms From English Into Arabic Case Study: Third Year Students Of English- University Of Ourgla Kasdi Merbah
Résumé: This study aims to investigate the difficulties that the students of third year English at Kasdi Merbah encounter while translating English technical texts, In addition to determine the techniques adopted in translating English technical terms and its contribution to produce an accurate technical translation. The students’ translations analysis and comparison indicates that the students’ difficulties in finding the appropriate Arabic equivalent words are due to the specific terminology of technical texts. . The results indicates that students’ errors are made due to their ignorance to adapt an appropriate technique for translating English technical terms and their ignorance of the subject matter. Finally, some recommendations were suggested for students in order to facilitate translation of technical terms. La présente étude cherche à enquêter sur les difficultés rencontrées par les étudiants de troisième année en traduisant des textes techniques anglais, en plus de définir les techniques de traduction des termes techniques anglais et de sa contribution pour produire une traduction technique précise. L’analyse et la comparaison des traductions des étudiants indiquent que les difficultés rencontrées par les étudiants pour trouver les mots équivalents en arabe sont dues à la terminologie spécifique des textes techniques. Le résultat indique que les erreurs des étudiants sont faites en raison de leur ignorance pour adapter une technique appropriée pour transe techniques anglais et leur ignorance de la matière. Enfin, des recommandations ont été suggérées aux étudiants afin de faciliter la traduction des termes techniques. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقصي الصعوبات التي يواجهها طلبة السنة الثالثة لغة انجليزية في ترجمة النصوص التقنية من اللغة الانجليزية إلى اللغة العربية. و كذا التعرف على تقنيات ترجمة المصطلح التقني و دورها في إنتاج ترجمة تقنية دقيقة. تشير نتائج تحليل ومقارنة ترجمات الطلبة أن مصطلحات النص التقني متخصصة جدا، مما يصعب مسالة إيجاد المكافئ المناسب لها. كما تشير النتائج إلى أن الأخطاء المرتكبة من طرف الطلبة كانت بسبب عدم التعرف على التقنيات المناسبة لترجمة المصطلحات التقنية. و كذا عدم المعرفة المسبقة بالموضوع ، فيما تم التوصل إلى أن قلة ممارسة الترجمة التقنية هي سبب الصعوبات التي يواجهها الطلبة في ترجمة النصوص التقنية. وفي الأخير تم اقتراح بعض التوجيهات التي من شانها تذليل صعوبات ترجمة المصطلحات التقنية لدى الطلبة.
