Résumé: This study aims to identify the extent of the role that non-governmental organizations play as an informal actor in resolving civil conflicts, through their mechanisms that help them intervene to resolve these conflicts, each according to the stage in which these conflicts exist. This study has dealt with the case of the Ghardaia crisis 2013/2015, which is the crisis that this Wilaya experienced, and left human and material losses as a result of the conflict that broke out between its residents, Al-Sha’anbeh and Bani Mezab. This was based on the scientific research tool, the questionnaire, which included four dimensions: preventive diplomacy, crisis management and peace making, crisis transformation and peacebuilding, and opinions and suggestions to activate the role of these organizations to solve crises and civil conflicts at the level of this state or at the national level as a whole. After analyzing and interpreting the results, it was concluded that the role of non-governmental organizations in resolving the Ghardaia crisis 2013/2015 did not rise to the required level yet, although they had a limited role in preventive diplomacy for this crisis (it did not lead to preventing the occurrence of this crisis and the level of escalation that I knew). Its role is almost non-existent with regard to the settlement of this crisis.
