Parliamentary Diplomacy: A New Approach In Performance And A Stake In Foreign Policy-making In Light Of The Algerian Constitutional Amendment Of 2020
Résumé: Abstract: This research paper explores the conceptual, intellectual, and legal framework underpinning parliamentary diplomacy, examining its evolution and role within Algeria's foreign policy. It highlights how parliamentary diplomacy enhances the official functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and influences policy formation. The paper further investigates the mechanisms this diplomatic entity utilizes at international and regional levels to strengthen its relationships with various committees and international bodies. Additionally, it analyzes the impact of leveraging parliamentary diplomacy to refine the public policy-making process, particularly in light of the diplomatic innovations introduced by the 2020 constitutional amendment.
