The Digital Economy As A Mechanism For Attracting Foreign Direct Investment To Algeria During The Period (2020_2024)

Résumé: The study aims to explore the state of the digital economy in Algeria and analyze its impact on attracting and enhancing foreign direct investment. This is achieved by examining the current state of the digital economy in the country and identifying the challenges it faces, along with presenting a set of international indicators that provide a comprehensive evaluation of Algeria's digital performance, helping to assess the development level of this sector. Based on this analysis, the study will determine the role of the digital economy as an effective mechanism for attracting foreign direct investment to Algeria. The study concluded with a set of findings and recommendations, the most significant of which is that the level of digital economy development in Algeria faces several constraints and challenges that limit its effectiveness in attracting foreign direct investment. Consequently, the recommendations emphasized the need for the government to intensify efforts to develop the digital economy by improving technological infrastructure, addressing regulatory shortcomings, and enhancing the digital environment to support investments and increase the competitiveness of the national economy.
