العبارات المبهمة في الخطاب الدبلوماسي والتحديات التي تشكلها في الترجمة

Résumé: يسلط مقالنا هذا الضوء على استخدام العبارات المبهمة في المجال الدبلوماسي. إذ تطرقنا لخصائص اللغة المستعملة في الخطاب الدبلوماسي أولا، باعتبار اللغة جوهر الدبلوماسية، ثم تناولنا مفهوم العبارات المبهمة بصفتها ظاهرة لغوية محضة، قبل ربطها بالمجال الدبلوماسي، مبرزين دواعي وأهداف استخدامها. كما استعنا بأمثلة من اتفاقيات دولية، وتطرقنا لمستويات العبارات المبهمة بشكل موجز. وفي الأخير، قمنا بربط العبارات المبهمة الدبلوماسية بالترجمة، مبرزين التحديات التي تفرضها على المترجم، في محاولة لرصد الإستراتيجيات الموظفة للتعامل معها The current reasearch paper sheds light on the use of ambiguity in the field of diplomacy. First it deals with the characteristics of the language used in diplomatic discourse, considering language as the essence of diplomacy. Then it defines ambiguity as a mere linguistic phenomenon, before linking it to the diplomatic field, underlining the reasons and objectives of its use. It also gives examples from international agreements, and deals with ambiguity levels briefly. Finally, it links diplomatic ambiguity to translation, highlighting the challenges they present to the translator, and attempts to find out the strategies employed to deal with them.
