Résumé: In the past two decades there has been increasing attention from the developing countries on the concept of sustainable development due to the aggravation of the environmental crisis, where intentionally extractive companies drain natural resources and especially non-renewable ones, without taking into account the rights of future generations. Also the industrial companies intensify their production without taking into account the phenomenon of environmental pollution which is one of the largest and dangerous issue of nowadays and the future life on this planet. In the same context, and as a result of the growing financial and administrative corruption for those companies, the economic and law experts increased their attention to lay the foundations and principles and mechanisms governing the administrative work and define the responsibility of each party in the management structure of the company, which is known as corporate governance. In this paper we will try to addressing the role of corporate governance mechanisms in achieving sustainable development
