Résumé: Abstract: This study aims at highlighting the importance of legal terms in identifying the legal texts features. Therefore, they are regarded as a fundamental quality indicator, which are connected to different legal systems and cultural concepts from the perspective of comparative law. In this regard, we have attempted to deal with the legal term and its main characteristics in a way to focus on the difference between the term and the concept. Then, we have opted for identifying the main challenges that may encounter the translator when rendering them from Arabic into English or vice versa. Finally, the study is extended to the adopted techniques in this field in order to achieve accuracy and the same effect to insure the quality in translating legal documents, as well as to the concept of quality in legal translation and its main criteria such as: clarity, adequacy and concision, to show that the legal term is the most important parameter of quality in translating legal documents.
