Dosage Des Polyphénols Totaux, Flavonoïdes Et Evaluation De L’activité Antioxydante Des Extraits De Graines De Calotropis Procera Ait. (kranka) De La Wilaya D’adrar

Résumé: Our study focuses on the determination of some chemical families and the antioxidant activity of the seeds of Calotropis procera Ait, which is a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine as a treatment for asthma and some skin and digestive diseases. Our extractions by organic solvents were carried out of green seeds (at the beginning of the fruiting season) and ripe seeds i.e. at the end of the fruiting season. One of the characteristics of the seeds is that they contain a very high level of fat (lipids), and this is what we obtained with yields of vegetable oils ranging from 21.45 to 23.59% (v/m) for green and ripe seeds respectively, for the methanol/water (Met/water) extracts, the yield is more important in green seeds (12.64%) compared to ripeones. Our study showed that C.procera seed oils are richer in polyphenols (up to 13.35 mg gallic acid equivalent in one gram of oil), and flavonoids (9.44 mg EC/g mature seed oil) than Met/water extracts. All our extracts (oils and methanol/water) also present interesting antioxidant activities; they can reduce 50% of the DPPH free radical at different concentrations, at only 2.70 mg/ml for the Met/water extract of green seeds. They also have a remarkable antioxidant capacity: up to 17.53 mg ascorbic acid equivalent (EAA) per gram of oil, and up to 12.56 mg EAA per gram of dry matter for the Met/water extract of green seeds.
