درجات الإبداعية في الترجمات العربية لقصيدة The Waste Land
Résumé: This research tackles the issue of creativity in translation and aims at defining its nature as well as the main creative strategies whereby translators relay the mythological aspect in the “ Waste Land” into Arabic trying to make it closer and more comprehensible for Arab readers. we ended up with the conclusion that translational creativity is far from betrayal of the original text; it is a potential aptitude that enables translators to get over problems and difficulties encountered in their daily work. Since translation is considered as a problem-solving activity, the translator needs to make use of this aptitude to carry out his/her task. Creativity manifests itself in a variety of creative strategies or procedures while translating; such as: substitution, explicitation, modulation, adaptation, condensation, addition, omission, permutation.
